Thanks: Thanks to all who supported the recent pool and poker competitions held by Shane Flaherty in aid of the Ladies Club. A big thank you to Shane for all his efforts.
Talent Show: Congratulations to the development committee who organised a very entertaining talent show in aid of the new pitch. Well done and thanks to Edwina Nelson and Maura Mullooly who represented the ladies club proudly. A great night was held by all.

Juniors in final! 30/11/09

Bowling: Congratulations to Colm Dowd on running a very successful bowling night. A great night was had by all. A special word of thanks to Kelly Trucks for sponsering the minor girls on the night.
Junior: Another big weekend in store for Strokestown as The Sportsman Inn Sponsered Junior team take on Tarmonbarry on Saturday next. Come out and cheer on the girls.

Meeting

Meeting: There will be a club meeting on Thursday the 29th of October at 9pm. Any outstanding tickets, please return them. Motions for County Convention must be forwarded on the night.

Congratulations to U12's and Minor Lads! 4/10/09

Well done: The Ladies Club would like to congratulate the mixed U12 team that won that won the Division 1 championship, especially Aoife Shiel and Jill Mullooly for both having excellent games. Also congratulations to the Minors lads on their remarkable comeback on Sunday.

Well done to Tríona!20/09/09

Meeting: There will be a club meeting tonight, Tuesday, the 22nd of September in The Percy French at 9.30pm.
Well done: The club would like to congratulate Tríona Kelly who represented the club with great honour and pride at the weekend. She was selected to play at the GAA I.N.T.O. Mini sevens GoGames Exhibition in conjuction with Cumann na mBunscoil in Croke Park at the All Ireland finals last weekend. It is an honour for Tríona to have been chosen at school and regional level to represent her county and club at the All Ireland Finals and 125 Year Celebration. Tríona thouraghly enjoyed the experience and her and her family are extremely grateful to have experienced the event. Lets hope this is just the start of Tríona's outings in Croke Park!

Presentation Night 14/08/09

Presentation Night: Well done to all involved in the Junior presentation night last friday night. Agreat night was had by all. A special thanks to Cathal Cregg, special guest on the night for presenting the medals. Thanks to our sponsor Marty Kennedy from The Sportsmans Inn. Also thanks to The Silver Eel for a lovely meal.

Presentation Night: A presentation evening for the Junior team will take place this Friday the 14th of August.
Thanks: After the last County Board Meeting, all clubs were thanked for working patiently with county team managers and for the giving of their players. We are one of the best represented clubs at county level with 14 players playing that level.

Congratulations 14/06/09

Congratulations: The club would like to congratulate Aisling Hanley and Colleen Cosgrove who are on the u'14 county team that beat Antrim in the All-Ireland semi-final and we wish them the best of luck in the All-Ireland final which will be played the weekend of the 27th/28th of June.

Junior Game and registration night. 26/04/09

Junior: The girls game against Western Gaels was cancelled on Saturday evening as Western Gaels could not field a team, Strokestown got the points. The girls will now play Castlerea on Saturday the 2nd at 7pm.
Registration Night: Thanks to all who registered last Saturday night. Any one who hasnt registered must do so this week.
County Sucess: Well done to the Roscommon Intermediate, Minor and U14 teams who won their matches over the weekend. Congratulations to all the girls from the club on these teams.

Meeting and Junior win. 19/04/09

Junior: The Juniors had a very impressive win over Balinameen on Friday evening in Balinameen in the Div.2 league. The girls won on a scoreline of 2-12 to 2-05. Scorers were: Sarah Brudell (0-2), Niamh McHugh (1-04), Laura Brudell (0-03), Katie McLoughlin (1-03). Meeting: There is a meeting today Tuesday at 8pm in the Percy French for the finance committee.

Congratulations! 5/04/09

Well done to the Junior girls team who beat Oran on Saturday evening in the Div2 League on a scoreline of 5-21 to 0-2.There will be training on Wednesday at 7 in The pitch. League games on Friday and Monday, see fixtures for details.
The U14's will take on St.Ciarans in the feile competition on Thursday evening at 7pm in Strokestown.
Congratulations to the boys U15 indoor soccer team on winning gold and the girls U13 and U15 teams on winning silver in the Connacht finals at the weekend.
The club would like to congratulate the Scoil Mhuire Senior boys team on winning the All Ireland Final on Sunday last, bringing great pride and delight to the town!

Junior: The junior girls have a match next Saturday against Balinameen in Strokestown at 7pm.
U12&U14's: The U12 championship will start on the 12th of April and the U14 Feile team will play on the 9th of April.

Rose Competition: Well done to Clodagh Compton who represented the club last Friday night in the Roscommon Ladies County Board Competition last friday night.

U16 final and registration night. 15/03/09

Junior:Junior ladies training today tuesday at 3pm in the GAA pitch, all players must attend.
U12&U14:There is training for U12's and U14's on Thursday March 19th at 6pm in kiltrustan pitch.
U16:The U16 Regan Structural Steel Ltd. team had a great win over Western Gaels in the Div.1 semi-final, on a scoreline of 3-13 to 0-1. This qualifies them to play St.Marys in the Div.1 A Final next Sunday at 4.45pm in Balinameen.
Registration Night: There will be a registration night on Saturday the 28th of March at 9pm in the Percy French Hotel.
School:Best of luck to the Scoil Mhuire Junior girls team who play Omagh on Thursday in the All Ireland junior A Semi-Final. Well done to the Senior Boys team on winning the All-Ireland semi-final on Saturday last.
Rose Competition:Best of luck to Clodagh Compton in the Roscommon Ladies Football Rose Competitionon Friday night at 8.30pm in the Abbey Hotel. There is only a limited amount of tickets available so please contact Anne or Caroline if you need a ticket. Tickets only on the night.

U16 semi final fixture & u16 training! 08/03/09

The U16 Regan Structural Steel LTD. Sponsered team are now through to the semi-final of the U16 A competition which will be played next Sunday against Western Gaels. U16 training continues as usual on Saturday at 4pm.
Congratulations to all the teams from Strokestown who were successful at the Community Games Indoor Soccer finals at the weekend. Hard luck to the girls on the Senior schools panel who lost to Swinford last Friday. The Club is holding an Easter Hamper Draw, €2 a line, please support.

U16 training & Junior League 01/03/09

U16 training continues as usual on Saturday at 4pm. First round of the league starts on Sunday for the Junior team. Best of luck to all taking part in the indoor soccer finals next weekend.

Junior Training!22/02/09

Junior ladies will be training every Monday and Saturday at 5.30pm in the GAA pitch until further notice, any girls wishing to play Junior this year should attend and new players are welcome. The Club would like to thank everyone who helped with the bagpacking last Friday.

Roscommon Rose Competition 15/02/09

Well done to Feena Beirne and the Roscommon girls on their great win over Limerick at the weekend. The club will be selecting a Rose for the forthcoming County Board Rose competition, watch out for details!

The U16 competition starts this weekend, players will be notified with training details.
Well done to Scoil Mhuire ladies team on winning the Junior A connacht final against Glenamaddy on a scoreline of 4-7 to 2-8.
Best of luck to Scoil mhuire senior girls who play swinford next saturday the 14th in the connacht final and to the Roscommon ladies who play Limerick in Division 3 of the league next Sunday the 15th.

Congratulations to County Players! 01/02/09

U16 training continues this Saturday evening at 5pm in the community centre.
The Club would like to congratulate all the girls from the club on getting their awards last friday night at the county presentation.
Well done to Feena Beirne on a fine performance for Roscommon in the national league on Sunday against Offaly which Roscommon won on a scoreline of 2-18 to 0-02.
The Junior Team is playing in the division 2 league this year which will start on the weekend of the 8th of March. Players will be contacted about training.
